She might become Prime Minister but it's unlikely. Birgitta was officially requested by the President to head the negotiations to form a new government. He previously gave the mandate to the head of the Independence Party to do so, but he wasn't able to form a government so he returned it. Then the head of the Left-Green Party got the mandate and tried to negotiate a five party coalition with the Pirate Party, Bright Future, the Reform Party and the Social Democratic Alliance but the negotiations were cut short because of alleged dispute between the Left-Green Party and the Reform Party. The President then announced nobody would get the mandate for the time being. Shortly after that he gave it to Birgitta and she is currently trying to negotiate the same five party coalition.
