Part of it is just getting off your high horse, too. Is that nurse who
took care of my IV as smart as me? No, but she is more compassionate.
Is the guy who makes my tacos as smart as me, does he know the depth
and breath of the world's suckage? Actually, he understands that
suckage better than me having walked across the desert to get a shitty
job making tacos. People have all kinds of redeeming qualities, that
are more important than absolute intelligence and being aware of those
helps you appreciate a wider variety of people (still not everyone
but...).
